$141.4 Million Powerball Jackpot Won in North Carolina
One lucky ticket in North Carolina matched all six numbers Saturday, winning a Powerball jackpot of $141,400,000. The holder(s) of the winning ticket will now have to decide to either take the 29-year, 30-installment annuity, or the one time cash “lump sum” amount of $69,682,459.
The numbers drawn were 14, 22, 52, 54, 59 and the Powerball was 4. The Power Play multiplier was 3. Other big winners included two tickets in Missouri (1) and North Carolina (1) that matched all five white-ball numbers and had the Power Play option for a $1 million prize each. Eight tickets sold in Illinois (1), Missouri (2), Nebraska (1), New Jersey (2), Tennessee (1), and Texas (1) matched all five white-ball numbers for a $200,000 cash win each. There were a total of 1,103,119 additional winning tickets Saturday evening. Those winners won prizes totaling $10,262,492. The jackpot for Wednesday, Feb. 10, will be $20 million.
Powerball is now played in 41 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
